These next two sheets are your activity sheets. When you have made your scales do the activities on these pages. You do not need to bring your scales into school but you should bring these two activity sheets in to school Friday October 26th. You should have all the checkmarks in the boxes and you should have done the two charts for blockweights and float and sink activities. Get mum and dad to have fun with you and your weighing activities! If you don't have any blocks for weighing then just ask Ms Greenblatt!

Remember
to read at least 20 minutes every day after school and fill in your
Home Reading Log!
Parents, please have your child bring in his/her book folders to school every single day. The reading and math logs plus all school reading books (until I collect them) live in these book folders. Please ensure they are always in this folder. Required books given by me will have a special bookmark in them, this means that your child must read this book first until it is finished or for at least 20 minutes, before reading self-selected books. This new bookmark system will inform you of the days your child reads with me. This will take the place of the letter I said I would send home
Ms. Greenblatt.
Parents, click here for information on the Home Reading Log.
MUMS AND DADS, PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR A FORM FOR THE UPCOMING PARENT CONFERENCES. COULD YOU PLEASE FILL IT IN AND SEND IT IN TO SCHOOL PRIOR TO YOUR CONFERENCE ON THE 9TH. Thank-you, Ms. Hartin and Ms. Greenblatt.
HEALTHY BRUNCH UPDATE!!
You are formally invited to attend the Grade 2 Healthy Brunch Restaurant on Friday October 12th, 11 - 12pm in the Primary Hall. The children will be giving you a paper invitation later this week. The children will also be working in groups to prepare for this restaurant, they will be organising which child in the group will be responsible for bringing in some food from one of the food groups for the brunch. I'd like to sincerely thank everyone for the wonderful support so far in supplying food for the Friday tastings We will be asking you to allow the children to bring in one more dish of food on Friday 12th October for the Brunch, this dish will be specifically from one of the food groups, your child will let you know which one this will be. The food should be enough to feed about 8 adults. This brunch is a time for the children to serve you and show you what they have learned about healthy eating. It will be set out as a restaurant, but you will be eating on the floor, picnic style. We hope everyone can make it to this special event.
Please click here for the Healthy Brunch letter. Please send in the RSVP as soon as possible.
Thank-you, Gabby Hartin.
